Tonja died in a nursing home as the result of a ventilator failure.  She is not forgotten by her sons or by her loving Mother, Ann Gaylor, who made Voices for Quality Care a reality in memory of Tonja.

Bob was Vice-Chair of Voices for Quality Care for many years.  He was a tireless advocate for people having problems obtaining quality long-term care.  He also spent hours digging out facts and figures to support advocacy efforts to improve the delivery of long-term care in Maryland, Washington, D.C., and on a national level.

Anna was a true national long-term care advocate.  She worked tirelessly in Florida for improvements in the long-term care system there.  She brought her concerns to Senators and Delegates in Washington, D.C..  She was a founding member and a member of the Executive Committee of the Coalition for Quality Care.  Anna was also a very effective Board member for Voices for Quality Care until her death.

She taught us how to live and she taught us how to die with dignity and grace, stepping with a sure foot onto that next plane. She helped many along the way. We are grateful for the time she gave us and all who knew and worked with her will sincerely miss her in the days and years to come.
